JSC “Voskhod”-KRLZ Kaluga Radio Tubes Plant founded in 1960 is now one of the largest Russian manufacturers of special application components. The Plant also specializes in the production of materials for electronics industry: multi layer clad tapes; non-ferrous and ferrous metal tapes, precision alloy tapes; bimetallic, micron and precision wires; pseudoalloys; epitaxial structures GaAlAs; amorphous tapes.

For today JSC “Voskhod”-KRLZ has over 6 000 shareholders and approximately 900 employees.

JSC “Voskhod”-KRLZ has substantial designing and production facilities and a devoted team of qualified engineers and skilled workers and technologists.

The Plant includes metal processing and assembly sections that allows small-scale production of all types of radio electronic devices.

Laser equipment is traditionally manufactured with the use of semiconductor GaAs laser emitters made at the Plant.

JSC “Voskhod”-KRLZ practices vacuum electron-beam and magnetron spattering techniques for the deposition of thin dielectric, resistant and metal films.

JSC “Voskhod”-KRLS is the Father of the Russian laser medical engineering. The Plant’s civil laser devices have also been successfully exported and used in foreign laser medicine.

The Plant’s traditional products – receiving amplifier tubes – are used both in communication equipment of special application and in consumer electronics. Our radio tubes are exported on a large scale, for example to the USA for the production of hi-end audio equipment.

JSC “Voskhod” Scientific Innovation Centre of Radio Electronic Components named after Alexander Shokin was formed on the basis of JSC “Voskhod”-KRLZ on 18 March 2010. The Center was given the name of Alexander Ivanovich Shokin – a foremost statesman, Minister of Electronic Industry of the former Soviet Union in 1965 – 1985. He was actively involved in establishment of the city of Zelenograd (the center of electronics both in the Soviet period and in contemporary Russia) and the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (MIET).

Centre’s Mission:

  • to build up an innovative system that will ensure effective co-operation between educational institutions and industrial enterprises, in particular on the basis of agreements between the Centre and the Kaluga branch of the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman and the regional branch of the Ministry of Education and Science
  • to find effective ways to commercialize inventions and research results

Double triodes

Miniature double triode with separate indirectly heated cathodes with spiral heater is intended for being employed as phase inverter or as double amplifier with resistive feedback.

Epitaxial structures GaAlAs

Epitaxial heterostructures AlGaAs/GaAs for LEDs are grown by method of liquid-phase epitaxy on GaAs substrates. They are used for fabrication of chips for the LEDs of red and infrared range of wavelengths in character indicators and optron keys.
