APPLICATION AND GENERAL INFORMATION

Application:

ML35-1060-LD laser machine with 2 laser (radiation wavelength 10.6 micrometers) is intended for automatic laser precision cutting of plastic, acryl, organic glass, wood and plywood.

General information:

A workpiece or a sheet of material is fixed on a workpiece stage or on a special quick-fixing arrangement in the machine work zone. The optical cutting head is situated on a Z-positioning stage and travels over the workpiece with the help of XY positioning stage with linear synchronous motors. Flying optics is used to transmit the laser beams from the stationary laser emitter to the optical cutter. The use of linear synchronous motor drives enables to considerably increase the machine reliability, to improve technical capabilities and production capacity and to achieve higher quality of machining.

The standard package includes sealed 2 lasers manufactured by Rofin-Sinar, Germany the worlds leading manufacturer of such class of laser machinery. Laser radiation source control system allows to modulate the laser radiation power. Output power, pulse repetition rate and duration have a wide range of adjustment, which allows to choose an appropriate mode of operation and achieve higher quality of machining.

For the purpose of a work zone visual inspection a TV-camera can be built into the system together with a TV-monitor.

The machine is equipped with the system of automatic assist and protective gases delivery to the work zone, which protects the focusing optics and improves the speed and quality of cutting.

Machine control and software

The machine control is maintained via CNC-system installed on an IBM PC compatible computer. Virtual CNC-controller AEROTECH A-3200 and real-time operating system OS RTX supporting modern multi-core processors ensure quick and accurate fulfillment of work. The system software enables to download, process and fulfill job-files, to set and memorize job parameters, to carry out the system control and self-diagnostic tests during the machine operation. Work drawings can be prepared in DXF format in most graphics software programmes (CAD, Corel-Draw, Kompas and many others).
